FLIGHT CLIPS
The photo below shows the 3 different flight clips available: for True 1/2 x 1/2 belts, Standard Duty Belts, and Heavy Duty Belts, respectively.
These clips mount under the belt and the bolt sticks up through the belt and the angle flight. A nut and lockwasher hold the bolt in place for standard duty and heavy duty belts. The head of the bolt is countersunk in the flight clip.
For True 1/2" x 1/2" flight clips, the flight clip itself is drilled and tapped and the bolt is installed from the top of the belt. Because there are so few threads in the flight clip, it is generally recommended to tack weld the bolt to the clip.
Flight clips are stocked in galvanized steel, T-304 stainless steel, and T-316 stainless steel.
